that he owned a large furniture store in Chicago. He sat down to rest in one of his over-stuffed chairs after a busy day and fell asleep. When he awoke, he had missed his plane. He was fortunate to get a friend to bring him in his helicopter. Arrangements were made for all the guests to stay at Ruth Ehrsam's hotel, the Van Orman, formerly in Fort Wayne, now located on the suburbs of Pleasant Mills, Indiana. JUNIOR CLASS -'Y September 7, 1948, the Jolly Juniors started back to school at a well known site, good old P. M. H. S. The Junior Class acquired one new member, Vaughn Mattax, who recently went to Monroe High School. We lost five class members during the year: Vernon Kiser, Minnie Myers, Marjorie Merrits, Glen Strahm, and Alice Myers, four of them moving to other comnnunities. Our Class Officers are as follows: President - Donald Sipe Vice-President - Vaughn Mattax Secretary-Treasurer - John Johnson Class Sponsor - John M. Bauman The Junior Class held a class party September 30, 1948, at the CCC Camp at Bluffton. Although we couldn't find an empty shelter house, we had a good time at an open fireplace in the park with the aid of Tom Speakman's lights on his Jeep The class was well represented at the party. The only complaint, as far as we know, was that of being sleepy the next morning. The Junior Class is planning to have a play this year as it is customary for the Juniors. The money earned from this will help finance the trip we anticipate with the Senior Class. KDestination Unknownl ZZ
