SENIOR CLASS HIST ORY In September, 1946, 30 Freshmen walked through those great swinging doors of the Pleasant Mills High School. I guess we were about the Greenest Freshmen ever to wander through the halls of the building of knowledge. The following officers were elected for that year: President ------------ Phyllis Heimann Vice-President ---------- Gene Suman Secretary-Treasurer ------- Alta .Tones Sponsor ------------ Mrs. Alma Owens We had two parties during the school year, both at the school- house. Everyone had a good time as only Freshmen can. Thirty students registered for the Sophomore Class of P. M. H. S. on September 3, 1947, intending to stick it out for the year. Two of our members fell by the wayside during the year. At an early meeting of the class the officers for the year were elected: President -------------- Alice Young Vice-President ----------- Arthur Funk Secretary-Treasurer ------ Beverly White Sponsor- 4 --------- Mr. Arnold Conrad Two parties were held during the year, both at the schoolhouse, since we had enjoyed ourselves there so much last year. The parties were both adjudged successes. The big event of the Sophomore year was receiving our class rings. We, the .Tolly Juniors, were ready to begin another year in search for knowledge within the walls of P. M. H. S. We came back in a body of twenty-one. Clara Belle Daniels was a new member in our class. The following officers were elected for the year: President ------------ Mildred DeRoo Vice-President ------------ Bob Wolfe Secretary -------------- Pat Gephart Treasurer ----------- Phyllis Heimann Sponsor - - ----- Mrs. Eloise Andrews The activity that caught the eye of everyone in our Junior year was the class play we produced, BUSY AS A BEAVER. This was given just before we left on our trip to New York City. I don't believe anyone will ever forget that trip. I know I won't. Our class party was held on October ll at the school gym. 15
