These boys are an unusual group, so quiet, so reservsq and so studiols that they run to class and push each other on sl: way. Often hey ask to be dQ-missed -arl, Qould it be that they like Physical Ed. better? They prefer problems instead of constructions and formal proofs. If the school term is long enough, they may be able to comprehend some Geometry - VOCATIUNAL Hone Eoononics Mrs. Yager who is at the head of the Home Bc. department has helped bring it to a successful year of 1942 and l943. During U18 first senester the Freshmen girls studied foods and helped with the school lunch. The Sophomore girls also helped with the preparation of the school lunch which has'bevome very popular this year. On an average basis, 152 pupils have been served per day The way to A fellows heart is through his stomach, as people say- The girls tried this by serving the fellows they especially liked first if someone else d1dn't beat them to it Serving was quite a rush at all times and the girls were glad when everyone had been served. It seems strange that when it came dishwashing time the girls were hard to find. The close of serving was in January when there couldn't be enough butter supplied and due to the food rationing. Cleora and Veda sold candy, pop, and ice cream this year They tried to sell as much tc one person as they could but didn't always accomplish to do so. The later part of the year they could only,get a few pieces of candy and pop to sell. Of course to nies some excitement they once in a while dropped a bottle Qf pop accidently The Freshmen girls haye been sewing this ssmestert many of 5361? Eeilhg BPQJSEEE show nest workmanship. The Sophomore girls displayed their skill and taste in furnishing WDream Houses' in the Home Management class. Now they are stud,1ng Hygiene and Home Nursing. They hope to become stronger, healthier and more physical fit through exercises and studlesf
