Most of the prospects, except the Freshmen, had experience in the game. The regular five were all experienced players, four of them Seniors and one Junior. These boys clicking well in the first half of the season won 7 and lost 3 games. The second half got under way with 'the team still winning, Bob Holloway, a Junior, center, was ill with Typhoid Fever. This vacancy was filled with Glen Bates, another Junior, wht finished the season with SUCCGSS. These five nent in to the County Tournament as the probable winner. They drew H rtford in the first round and defeated them 47 to 20. Geneva, defending Champions were defeated in the semi-final game 39 to 2l. This game was a thriller with Wnitie NcNillen getting ll points in the first quarter. In L-c finals Konroe was defeated 32 to 22. This was the ship for Pleasant Mills. first County Champion- Their regular season being over, the team went into the sectional as the underdog. defeated three times before, was nent. They were defeated easily playing an excellent game of ball. favorite was defeated in the semi the finals against Kirkland, the Spartans.
