The school is proud of its fine record of students involve- ment in the various offered pro- grams. Every day students gave a part of themselves and helped make PLJH an exciting place to be. 15 Locker partners were tested for their patience, understanding, and quickness. 25 Eighth graders volunteered to help make Christmas decorations. 35 Christy Hedricks and Kelly Welsh participate in the participate in the book fair. 45 Making it to class on time kept everyone on their toes. 55 A visiting clown brought many smiles. 65 Our own clown prepares for an act. 75 The high school presents a French language assembly. 85 Excellent music was provided for the pep assembly. l E th Grade: e're The Class 87! For the seventh grade students this was a year of grow- ing and discovering. Locker combinations had to be memorized, classes had to be found, friends had to be made and choices had to be made. The word responsibility took on a whole new meaning. All students had to study mathematics, social studies, science, language arts, reading, and gym. Then students were allowed to choose between art, music, instrumental music, industrial arts or home economics. By the end of the year, each student had found his own group of friends and his own place in the Junior High. He discovered what it was like to work with twenty other strangers and pull together to make their homeroom the best. Sharing and caring were key factors in getting through this year. The school and the routines were now familiar and comfortable. And each seventh grader looked forward for their return as the new leaders in the fall.
