Extra!! c'The ysteries Of Science Exposed B PLJH Students Science offers many different op- portunities to discover the World about us. Various units were offered such as astronomy, chemistry, cell structure, and survival in natural di- aster situations. Each unit was de- signed so students might become aware of the causes and reactions be- hind their environment. Students had to adapt themselves to many different situations in class. Lectures were held which involved good note taking techniques. Partici- pation was expected in the labs as students did many experiments. Stu- dents learned the use of the periodic table, how to diasect an animal, and the use of the microscope. During the course of the year a student learns many dif- ferent sports, including soccer, flag football, co-ed volleyball, shuffleboard, track, basketball, softball, and gymnas- tics. P.E. helps students develop good sportsmanship, many different skills, and it helps them to concentrate on general conditioning.
