This year, as a result of the greater popularity in art, Mrs. Karen Conrad has come back to join the staff of Pleasant Lea Jr. High. Art is offered as an alternating class with physical education. Students in both grades study design, painting, fibers, drawing, lettering, and pottery making. Music One elective to physical education is vocial music. In your seventh grade year you could take music I. Then if you chose you could try-out for music II or automatically go into art I. In music I you study jazz, and classical music. You also learn the basic notes of the staff. Students were also able to take band or orchestra, in- stead of world of construction or home economics.
