This year will complete twelve years of formal education for many of you. Others will seek further education. Regardless of your choice, I feel that the progress you have made over the past twelve years will be an aid to the many problems you will face. Remember, we have not promised you an answer to all problems, but the foundation for solving them to meet your personal needs. I personally want to congratulate each of you and wish you continued success in your chosen future, My Best Regards, G. M. Grabill, Superintendent PRINCIPAL M M-V Mwmwpw,,...o- The Public School System of America is the foundation of our country and our freedom. At Pleasant Mills School we are constantly striving to develop ability, talent, ambition and citizenship in order that we may better enjoy our freedom and make it more secure. As Henry Van Dyke so aptly put it we should all learn to do these four things: To think without confusion, clearly, To love his fellow men, sincerelyg To act from honest motives, purely, To trust in Heaven and God, Securely, It is my ardent desire and wish that each member of the Class of 1959 will soon find a comfortable niche in society and will enjoy a successful life. Re- member happiness is the only thing you can give away which always comes back to you. G, W. Vizard FACULTY ALICE LUYBEN B. S. Many things have changed around good old Pleasant Mills since we left 10 years ago, This year the reunion is at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Dwight Brunner fthe former Judy Williamsonj. They have a nice family of three girls and a boy. Judy also reports to us that they own the chain of Dairy Queen stores and that it is a very prosperous business. The first to arrive, all out of breath, were Steve Irwin and Roger Snyder who used to be star runners at good old P. M. H. S, They were competing in the Olympics at Sidney, Australia and ran all the way. In a suffocating cloud of dust came Gary Millington and Kenneth Terrell. Kenneth is the president of the Blue Creek Stone Quarry, Gary is president of the Ford Motor Company and is trying to interest Kenneth in buying some Ford stone trucks, Next to arrive on the scene were Marie Ohler and Steve Riley, They own the Slim and Trim Bread Company in Fort Wayne, Steve reports to us that business is really booming with all the weight-watching that has been going on here of late, Just as most of us were beginning to remember the riots we had at Pleasant Mills in came Dick Ehrsam all wrapped up in an Eskimo parka, He had just returned from a fishing expedition up north and he says its really great fishing but kind of cold. Who could it be, under dark glasses with a big pipe in his mouth, but Ferris Fox. He is a famous movie producer in Hollywood and has now produced somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 films, His address, in case any of you have visions of stardom, is 66 Sunset Strip, Holly- wood 9, California, PROPHECY Jerry Winans and Ed Luginbill arrived next singing Tom Dooley. They first made it a hit singing for a Ladies Aid Society Meeting. They have a performance coming up at the Green Cheese Gardens on the moon, Don't miss it! Janie Raudenbush and Betty Myers were the next arrivals. It seems they are cheerleaders for the Decatur Giants, a pro basketball team, They almost didn't make it because of a game. Betty reports that they recently won top honors at the National Scream Leaders convention held in Van Wert, Ohio. Tom Garwood and his mechanic Roger Roe came roaring up in an old out-dated 1959 Ford, Tom and Roger are a big success in the racing business, Tom wrecks cars and Roger fixes them up again. Judy Lough and Marge Dailey with their husbands were the final arrivals, Judy is the record librarian at W P M S, Pleasant Mills newest radio station and she also manages to cut a few records now and then, I am not permitted to disclose her husband's name for fear it might cause a riot. Marge Dailey informs us that after graduation she went to college to take up the fine art of beating drums. She is now married to a famous Calypso dancer and plays the bongo drums at his famous night club, The Palm Tree, We would like to express our appreciation to Judy who furnished records for dancing and Marge who gave us a special number on the Bongo drums. Now that all the members of the class have made their entrance I shall leave you to join them for a big old fashioned gab fest, Hoping to see you again in 1979, I remain respectfully yours.
