Class Poem HERE'S TO THE CLASS OF '52 We are the class of '52 Our high school days are done. We've worked a lot, we've shirked a lot, But we've had lots of fun. Our class is small, without a doubt. Just fourteen students strong. But we have many worth-while traits That you'll remember long. Rosie , while the quiet type, Is friendly, loyal, proud: As valedictorian of our class She rides a special cloud. Jack Chrysler is a bashful boy. He seldom says a thing. His interests? Cameras, autos, food: And the solitude sleep can bring. Carol is the witty one. A first class scatterbrain! She brings us laughs in time of gloom And sun in place of rain. Don is straight and proud and tall, A pleasant farmer lad. In time, he wants to be a vet And weigh 200, like his Dad. Katy Dodge, is the office girl. A very popular lass. Her smiling eyes and winning ways Give her that touch called class . .Terry is dependable. He'll help out where he's needed. He always has a warming smile Whenever he is greeted. Mavis is a joyous lass. Her hobby is her Jim. She tired of being single, so - - She up and married him! Jack Sassanella is a clown! He's better known as Sass . His antics and his comic ways Bring laughter from the class. A lover of motors, and engines and cars Is what we'1l find in Jim. He likes to make big model planes. No job's too tough for him. Marlene's lovely, she's engaged. She uses poise and charm. Her smile and personality Will never do her harm. Larry, our athletic star, Has light blonde wavy hair. His freckles, eyes and muscles Make all the lassies stare. Gloria is a pleasant girl. She's always gay and perky. She'd like to marry a millionaire And live in Albuquerque. Paul White is known as Pee Wee . He joined our class this year. He plays trombone and cymbals. So let's give Paul a cheerl Then thereis a girl called Brooksie She's busy, tall, carefree. I know these things are true of her Because, you see, that's me. Yes, here we are, fourteen of us. We've grown to love our school. And made friends with the teachers. Whom once we thought so cruel. So, when you meet us -- far or near, We'l1 proudly say to you, I graduated from P. Lake High In the class of '52 . Senior Class Prophesy May 10, 2052 Dear Students of Pleasant Lake High, I did so want to be able to attend the alumi banquet and homecoming at Pleasant Lake recently but I was quite unable to make it. I'm sorry. It has been just one hundred years ago today that I and the other members of the class of 19 52 graduated from P. Lake High. It is amusing how little we knew than of what the future would bring us. These modern medicines have lengthened the life span of a person somewhat. Would you believe it? I am now 117 years old and I don't feel a day over 100. I thought perhaps you would be interested in knowing what some of the former graduates of PLHS are doing now. I recently purchased an interplanet radio wave set and I have been having the time of my life contacting all my old classmates. Pm sure you remember .Terry Platt.. You can imagine my complete surprise when I learned that he is sole owner of a long string of fashionable night clubs. .Jerry is one restaurant owner who still serves food rather than those tasteless capsules. His specialty is shrimpbergers. Gloria Harmon actually fulfilled her dream. Remember how she always wanted to live in New Mexico? Well, she hitch hiked there right after she graduated and got a job as an elevator operator. She saved every penny and about fifty years ago she bought her own Indian Reservation. Oh! by the way, her name is now Gloria Big Stick in the Mud. She married one of the Indians and she has the cutest mud hut iniminable. , There was quite a bit of interference in my radio set the other day and when I investigated I I was able to pick up a distress signal from .Tack Chrysler. Remember him? It seems he was on his way back home to the Moon Che had been to the World on a fishing tripl when he fell asleep at the wheel of his rocket ship and when he woke up he was on Saturn with six flat tires. That could only happen to Jack Chrysler! I I regret to inform you students that poor Katy Dodge dldn't do so well. She had such high hopes of living happily ever after with Mike Kankamp but fate just didn't see things that way. They enjoyed one week of married bliss and then Mike gathered up all his belongings and left. Rumor has it that he bought a sale barn in Alaska. Our sweet Katy is now living along -the East Coast. It would break your heart to hear her screaming at the top of her voice Fresh fish, fresh fish! I think it's marvelous how Larry Penjck has done so much as coach at Tri-State College. His football team plays Notre Dame once in a while just for the practice. Tri-State always beats Notre Dame anyway. I wasn't too surprised at the career that Carol Lash chose for herself. She's aburlesque artist now you know. I had the pleasure of seeing her on the stage the last time I was visiting France. Something about her act is very different! Instead of appearing on stage and taking it off, Carol appears on stage and puts it on . Oh well, Carol always was a little backward.
