l 2 IANUARY -School as usual- ain't no justice. -Chamber of Commerce acts as host at -a banquet for football team and their guests. 8-Girls' team shows up the boys at Grandview. 11-Raytown and P. H. tangle. Girls, was that a close game? 14-A freshman-sophomore get together. 17-Dr. I. Q., through the courtesy of Everlasting Chewing Gum, presides 17-19 over the sophomore assembly. -Lee's Summit acts as host at a basketball tournament. Congratulations boys on your sportsmanship award. 21-Don't we look pretty? Senior pictures taken. 21-Who won? ? ? A game with Harrisonville. 22-26-Two trophies-boys and girls win consolation in P.H. tournament. 29-Another defeat by Ruhl-Hartman. 31-Mildred and Marian represent P.H. in the declamation contest at Blue 1.. Springs. FEBRUARY Victorious over Holden-glad that one point was in our favor. 7- 9-Another tournament at Harrisonville of Cass County Schools. ll-Holden defeated P. H. on their home court. 12-Formal Valentine dance enjoyed by Home Ec. girls. They had an orches- lfd too. l4-The juniors go on the air for their broadcast from station WEEP in pre- senting the junior assembly. I3-16-The last tournament of the season at Ruskin. 19-Another senior class meeting-invitations are selected. 19-Iuniors and seniors get together again. Are pickles good in chili Bill 22- and Fred? Comin' 'Round the Mountain presented by speech department. 22-A defeat by Buckner ends basketball season. 27-How's your I. Q? Seniors take test. MARCH l- Small Town Romeo presented by juniors. I. L., do you believe in ghosts? 4-P. H. enters declamation contest at Archie. 8-Speech department entertains with four one-act plays. 20- Oh, give me the wide open spaces said the 7th and 8th grades in a 29- western assembly. When Boy Friends Meet presented at Ruskin in the conference contest. APRIL 5-Success! Wino becomes a lady in ''Mother-In-Law-Blues''-Senior play. 5-Commercial students enter contest at Grandview. ll-Raytown acts as host at musical festival. 15-Boys enter track meet at Buckner. 19-Mid-West conference track meet held at Center. 19- Time out for Good Friday. 30-Seniors dismissed-one day only to attend senior day at Warrensburg. MAY 3-A three-ring circus when the juniors entertain at the annual junior-senior banquet. It can't rain again! 12-Beginning of the end-Baccalaureate. 13-Farewell P.H.H.S. as the seniors give their class day program. 14-15-Those dreaded finals-Lucky people! those with an S average. 17-Au Revoir-Commencement. l7 -Climax-all school picnic.

Goodbye vacation. 7-Class officers elected. 17-School lunch program begins. 20 21 23 27 11 4- 5- 1 l- 1 1- 12- 19- 26- 26- lg 11 2.. 61 61 Qi 12- 13- 16 21-- 22-25- 28- 1- 2- 4 3 5 -Pep rally and snake dance. Our first time in the pool hall! ! ! -Ftaytown defeats P. H. in first football game. -Strike up the band-once again a booster trip. - Skule Daze staff chosen by the seniors. 28- Almost a victory-P.H. and Blue Springs tie. OCTOBER Change of teachers-Mrs. Gray substitutes for Mrs. Roth who be with her husband. Hurrah for the band!-first prize at Holden street fair. Three cheers for our team-P. H. defeats Adrian. Everyone looking pretty! Group pictures were taken. Again defeated by Harrisonville. We hate to admit it though. Teachers take time out to attend meeting at Warrensburg. Victorious over Buckner in football. Rah! Rah! Rah!-pep assembly in gym. Football game with Lee-'s Summit. We lost. leaves to NOVEMBER The band played on in assembly today. Carnival king and queen chosen by secret ballot. Another tie with Ruhl-Hartman. Sadie Hawkins dance for juniors and seniors--- Wino alias Lil Abner. Another new teacher. Myron Sheddrick replaces Mrs. Gray. Defeated Wentworth Military Academy. Red flannels would have felt mighty good. The committee cleaned house at Teen Town. Overalls and pinafores prevailed at the freshman party. Confetti and fun were climaxed by the crowning of the sophomore can- didates at the carnival. At assembly, we again observed a peace time Thanksgiving. No school for four whole days--Thanksgiving vacation. Happy seniors! Class rings arrive. DECEMBER Basketball season opens with the Greenwood Tournament. -First victory in basketball for the boys with Raymore. -What? Another English teacher. Mr. Fitch started today. -Old grads return for a benefit game. 6-Freshman assembly-there is talent in that class. 7 ll 14 18 21 21-31 -First conference game with Ruskin and a defeat for P. H. -One victory, one loss at Belton. -P. H. teams lose to Center on home court. - Let it Snow, Let it Snow. lt did-Ruhl-Hartman game postponed. -The mistletoe was very effective in Keeping Christmas at the senior assembly. -Oh, happy day-another vacation.
