2? The P.H.H.S. football team and their dates were entertained on Ianuary 1, 1946, at a banquet sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The banquet was held at the Chamber of Commerce club room, and the Methodist church Women served fruit cocktail, roast turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, olives, pickles, celery, coffee, and fruit cake with Whipped cream. During the banquet, Charles Woody, as The Promoter, announced Our Football Queen, Dorothy Moss, A Boy Who Packs the Ball, Roy Dunn, and A Boy Who Opens Up the Holes, Iohn Griffith. Bill Frakes challenged the 1946 team, and A. C. Burroughs accepted the challenge. The program ended vvith Coach Gray reviewing the Prospects of l946. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Dorothy Moss, the football queen. After the banquet, everyone adjourned to Iohnny's Playhouse for the dance. , 31
