The large turnout for the track team this year paid off with the boys winning every dual meet, including s meet with a top-ranked British Columbia team. The boys were also the Sky-Em District champions- Being district champions allowed Pleasant Hill to send nine athletes to the State meet at Mt. Hood C.C. in Gresham- The girls also had a good season and had a good shoving at District, which allowed them to send four girls to the State meet. The thirteen athletes that went to the State AA track meet were Rick Shipman C400 m. relay, 1600 m. relay, 200 m. sprint, 100 m. sprintl, Ted Bodine C400 m. and 1600 m- relayl, Kevin Coleman Chigh jump, 400 m. and 1600 m- relayl, Doug Ritchie Ctrlple jump, 1600 m. relayl, steve parmenter C600 md, Nathan Morris C1500 m- and 3,000 m. runsl, Hike Darling Cpole vaultl, Jay Boettcher Cjsvelinl, and Dave Patterson fhigh hurdles and high jumpj. The girls who vent to State were Shana Wright thigh and low hurdlesl, Patti Buehler Chigh jumpl, Alice Stowell 1800 m. runb, and Kim HcClusky fjavelinl. This year.-'s team had a new head coach, Hr.
