FHA Future Homemakers of America, or FHA, had a very busy year. Their projects at the first of the year included being pep pals for the girls volleyball team, adopt- ing grandmothers from Twi- light Acres Rest Home and sending them Christmas gifts. They also sent African violets later for Easter. Later, on in the year, they pro- vided lunch for the Pleasant Hill Speech Tournament. They also served refreshments to parents at the Open House. Their act- ivities were financed by furnish- ing a dinner for a dinner theatre and selling cookbooks. The Officers were: President- Tammie Pratt, Vice President- Heather Aarestadg Secratary- Val Wilson. Half of the proceeds'from the auction went to the club's funds which they used to aid the Athletic Depart- ment. Later on in the year, they had a bottle drive to finance a Letter- men's dinner. Hi-Q Hi-Q, led by team captain, Frank Hladky, came in second in a league of six schools qualifying them to later compete with the top two schools from each league for the title. Later, in April, the club accepted a challenge from the KUGN Mellow Yellow. The Hi-Q team lost, but only by one question.
