This year more honors were achieved by Pleasant students than ever before. For the first time in the history of Pleasant, a student achieved the honor of becoming a National Merit Scholar, Another student became the first to represent Pleasant at the National Youth Conference on the Atom. The teen board selected more Teen-Agers of the Month than in previous years. Pleasant students showed their talents in the junior and senior plays and the talent show. I The days of the Old South came alive as P.H.S. students walked into the gymnasium and viewed the sights of the 1969 Junior-Senior Prom. The Juniors recreated the majesty of the Old South through their decorations of flowers and a fountain.
