Several dances were scattered throughout the year. The music concert, the Talent Show, and the two class plays provided an opportunity for P1easant's students to show their talent in different areas. The climax of student life was the prom on May 11. Of course, there are those moments which will be remembered by each student. That incident may have been one which happened in a classroom or at lunch or one which occurred in a small group or crowd. A11 of these have contributed to a well-rounded social life at Pleasant this year. 7 iw? I 3 wiv X A B+ - Xb 8 L F lower f-'LM' an i ,-X 1 N 1 Q.. Ana, a 16 year old Argentinian girl, became the second exchange student at our scho'ol. Although unable to speak but a few words of English upon arrival, Ana learned quickly how to live and speak in Amer- ica. With the help of teachers and stu- dents, she became a part of our school. A large number of students take advantage of these. Our or- ganizations provide the students with the necessary items to aid them in learning the responsibilities of leader- ship, the personal satisfaction of a job completed, and the enjoyment of meeting with other students. Each club is an expression of a person's interests. At Pleasant there are organizations of many types to offer the stu- dents a broad area from which to choose. After the selection it is left to the student to decide how much he will gain from each activity. K UST PUPULAR This year many people were thrilled as they watched the Pleasant Spartans in action. The thrills and excitement were unequaled in any other outside activity. The excitement was not the only emotion expressed at a sports event. For the participant the goal which he made was satisfaction. It was the satisfaction that his many hours of practice had paid off. The high school students were proud to see their fellow stu- dents succeeding to beat a rival. The other fans received the pleasure which they had sought when they came. Sports at Pleasant will continue to hold a cherished place in many hearts. 33 CO -CA PTAIN TIM GOYER DAVID FENNELL TOM FLACH COACH: MR. KAY ASS'T COACHES: MR. GUCKER MR. There is a variety of interests and temperaments. This variety has helped to produce an atmosphere at our school which will be an important aid to the stu- dents in their choice of avocation. We are fortunate that the versatility of the people and the variety of their interests and personalities do not cause dissension among us.
