Ev- erywhere you looked this 12-5A or elsewhere, there were PG teams competing winning -- in sports events of all kinds. T Before the end of the first semester, l'lawk teams were al- ready off to their best athletic year ever. The girls' volleyball teams did better than any previous year, with the JV going un- defeated in eighteen games and the Varsity traveling to Austin to compete in their first State Tournament. On the boys' side of the locker room, the Varsity football team finished their first winning season and their basketball teams were off to an ex- plosive start. The closer each team got to a playoff spot or better, more heat was put on their opponents.
