F MILY TIES Families play a major role in the population of Pleasant Grove School. In the senior class, 100 percent have a relative who has graduated from Pleasant Grove or who is currently attending. Though the percentage in other classes may not be that high, it is still very high in every classroom. The most frequent relationship is brother-sister, but parent-child is also found often. Twenty-five percent of the seniors have parents who attended Pleasant Grove, and some of the seniors have nieces and nephews who are now attending. In addition, several faculty and staff members have children currently attending here. Although everyone does not have a relative going to Pleasant Grove, they can still feel a kinship with their classmates that might not be possible in a larger school. ALL IN THE FAMILY. Daisy Marshall, who has worked at Pleasant Grove 16 years as a teachers' aid, is surrounded by her children: Katie, kindergarten, jesse, freshman, and Crissy, junior.
