LK'B HARULDL-SMWH DALLASl7,TEXA5 QDELQNE I E MENT RING PAL J.H. GREGE . B. WILLI MS To the Graduating Seniors of l9S2: This annual is a history of your last year in this high school -- your school. You are going to miss your school. and we are going to miss you. The patrons of this community made this school possible in order to afford you an opportunity for acquiring an edu- cation. It would be next to impossible to appreciate and cherish your school without taking good care of its build- ings and its equipment. To do less would certainly re- flect upon our concept of true Americanism -- namely our concept of fair play. In the very near future, much sooner than you realize, you will be the tax payers. You will find yourselves in the position of paying the way for the youth of your time. They too, must have the privileges and opportunities of acquiring an education. In all probability, the respect and love you have today for the school in which you work or play, will be reflected many times in the youth of tomorrow. Congratulations and best wishes for a happy and worth- while future. Sincerely, QE Ou.Q.9!X.hfo'1-4fQrQ,41.A-J Dale Douglas ' .pglas 'MC' e rggsmg V71 P4?c2r.fcz'l2I 0.0 IP H4woLo . They not only won their first district championship, but went on to win the Bi-district from Terrell, the Reg- ional from Pittsburg. and only lost to Arlington in the quarter-finals who finally emerged as state champions. The Bobcats were a game club. With the ex- cellent coaching of Wayman Wilson and Elmo Cum- mins they rose from a district contender to a state contender. They placed seven men on the all-district team and H. E. Williams made the all-state eleven with Billy Adams and Charles Kugler receiving honorable mention. It was truly a team that will be remembered by many people for years to come. ,qw BILLY ADAMS CHARLES KUCLAR COACH CUMMINS -5 l'42'::5i.12- t . lf GEORGE GROCAN BOBBY MCNEELY Guard Guard ...fi -M MILLER BRANTON EVERETT EVANS Tackle Cf-ntvr CECIL FLOYD WILLIAM SINGLETON Guard Back Silt JACKIE RACSDALE Tackle WAYLON BAUMANN Tackle IIOIIIIY PARKER Back 4-1? 4 ,l 0' sf -44-' JACK THOMPSON DAVID CREEK WAYNE GIRARD Hack Back Back CHARLES MCCOMMAS Back CHARLES lxl CJLILR Uuanl Courtesy of Daily' Times Herald P. This time with coach J. W. Black sending an inexperienced five on the court to come back a champion. The Bobcats tied Garland for the leader- ship and then took two games straight from them to win the play off series. They were beaten. however. by Bowie in the Regional tournament. Going six years without falling into the second or even lower ranks in the district is something any school would he envious of.
