rf To The Senior Class of 1948: After graduation - - then what? Going to college, getting a job, or making a home? It is certain that all of you will not be able to attend college. Not all of you can sit behind a desk. Some must work with their hands as well as their heads. Your teachers have done their best to prepare and guide you for the future. Success or failure may be yours, and it is entirely up to you. Even though you have made your plans well, sometimes, unforseen obstacles block your path, and as Burns has said, HLeave you nought but grief and pain for promised joy.H I trust your training at home, church, and school has taught you to overcome defeat. I sincerely hope your plans for the future will be successful and you will be able to rise above any obstacle that bars your path, but remember, you can succeed only through hard work and close adherence to our democratic principles. iff of
