DEDICHTIUH Help thy brother's foot across and lo, thine own has reached the Shore. Dixon, at once a gentleman, and a scholar as well as a teacher of the soil, and a big brother to ambitious young men, lives such a motto. This design is a grass-roots attack on the short- age of scientifically trained personnel in these fields. To this beloved teacher and friend we dedicate with fraternal affection the nineteen hundred fifty-six edition of the PIHES
