If you want it , A We've got it at Plaza. Our marquee could easly read . . . LF-YQ-LLWWANT IT, GQI lfl' ATMPQAZ-Q! Plaza is filled with many personalities and with many things to do. Students can be seen talking, laughing, and sitting together in the Commons area. in the Kivas, classes come together to rehearse plays or watch other presentationsjlfo help illustrate other lessons, we gather together in .the Planef tarium to watch the sky come alive. And, for a variation, our Television Studio can supply us with programs, news, and music. Our day begins with a moment of silence to help us collect our thoughts. From that point we plunge into a day which allows us few moments to spare. Our curriculum includes fundamentals such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Physi- cal Education as well as elected subjects including Art, Home Economics, industrial Arts, Band, Chorus, General Business, Languages, and Public Speaking. The decisions are great: the choices far outnumber the amount of time that one can spend during our school hours. During the day, students can discuss common concerns and plan activities through our Student Cooperative Association. This active body demonstrates open communication between all stu- dents and faculty. Our pride is strengthened when we see so many visitors touring through classes to better understand why Plaza is so very special. But when the coursework has ended, few students go home. There are too many activities to interest each of our classmates. We can now choose to be members of Plaza organizations. We replace our books with skateboards, pom-poms, batons, musical instruments, cans of food for charity drives, and pencils, rulers and calculators for yearbook work. We can also put on uniforms and spiked shoes since each season welcomes new sports and athletic records. And when we still want to see each other, we can step onto the dance floor and watch Plaza become a favored disco spot. We look around and realize that school is overwhelming and we want to share our experiences with the people who mean so much to us. There is no doubt that Plaza is very special.
