The Madrigals meet about once a week to sing pop songs, foreign songs, and hymns. The Chorus consists of sopranos l and ll, altos, tenors, and basses. Scott Brinson and Steve Duncan rehearse for the production. The 1977 School Play was My Fair Lady. lt was the story about a flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who was carefully taught how to speak and act by a linguist, Henry Higgins. The play was directed by Mr. Nultemeier and Mr. Sunderland. Many Plaza students were members of the cast. 33

The first half of the year is spent on Forensics. Concentration is given to reading poetry, short stories, speeches, and speaking comfortably in groups. The team also debates against other schools on such topics as gun control. Certainly, this group must devote many hours in researching subject areas.
