Learning many tech- niques and improving upon skill level is a major focus. x The Art teachers are 'turned-on' to enthusiastic art students. . . but after school hours, Mr. Stith likes hunt- ing, fishing, and good music. . . Miss McNiff enjoys many sports and at times even courageously ventures to ride to school on her bike. GENERAL BUSINESS Miss Jeffries wants to see students use business skills and knowledge in their every day lives. . . She also likes forms of dancing, crafts, and going to view Broadway shows. The General Business program incorporates advertising, bookkeeping, and balancing the budget with other prac- tical skills. These tasks aid the student in adjusting to the complex business world. Miss Moore plays the piano. . . Mrs. Davis likes to entertain friends and family. .. They all love sharing Home Ec. delicacies with the office personnel.

Steve Smith, Jr Industrial Arts exposes students to photogra- phy, manufacturing, and building with wood. Stu- dents are given opportunities to make book ends, book shelves, and to develop pictures. Mr. Foster works with antiques and tends to his vegetable garden. .. Nlr. Jones skiis. . . Mr. Smith is a young and proud Grandfather... Mr. Brad- shaw challenges anyone to a good game of horse- shoes. . . and Nlr. Garrison is a dedicated photog- rapher and is also the ODYSSEY'S favorite resi- dent-photography consultant. Mr. Francis J. Foster Team Leader MUSIC The Chorus and Bands involve many Plaza students. Under the supervision of lVlr. Sunderland and lVlr. Warren, respectively, these groups learn much about musical ele- ments, composers, and symphonies. They perform often throughout the year. As a result, Plaza learns to better appreciate music as an art. A highlight for these teachers is to see and help young musicians develop into mature performers. . . Mr. Sunder- l land is interested in both photography and model rail- roads . . . Mr. Warren loves his camping and fishing experi- ences, as well as his chance to coach in community league sports.
