at a5v9? Our Parents Are Behind Us All The Wa Plaza Junior High School has been most for- tunate in having a trio of active parent groups to support activities within the school, sponsor events of interest to the students, raise money to contribute to school needs, and provide the needed communication between the school and community. The Parent-Teacher-Student Association is an organization which promotes communication and understanding between the three groups. The programs are designed to show what is happening within the school. At the beginning of each year there is a general open house so students may bring their parents to meet the teachers and see the school. The Band Association was formed to arouse and maintain interest in the instrumental department and to support band activities. of the energy of the group has been focused earning money to buy band uniforms. The Booster Club has supported many activities within the school and has various money-earning projects so they contribute trophies and letters to the Plaza letic teams and buy needed athletic To do this, they have managed booths at the home football games, school dances and sold refreshments, held a ghetti supper and raffle, and sold tobaggon in school colors. They have also sponsored films ofxeach week's previous football game the benefit ofthe team and coaches. -.',,,,,-suv- ' ,qsiguvv---- X BAND ASSOCIATION: Row I: Mrs. Ferguson, Mr. Baird, President: Mr. Markowski, Mrs. Markowski, Mr. Lusk, Mrs. Blaylock Mrs Neaton Mis.
