Miss Whalen keeps the accumulative records of almost every student in high school up to date. Miss Whalen counsels with two senior boys about furthering their education. An Average Days Work We, the graduating class of 1968, dedi- cate this annual to our sponsor, Miss Jessie Whalen, who with her help and un- derstanding, has guided us through the past four years. Miss Whalen came to the Plattsmouth Public School System in 1922. She began her career at Wintersteen School and in 1952 she became assistant principal. Prior to this time she taught High School and Junior High School classes. She has been helping students with their academic problems since then. When P. T. A. was active at P. H. S. , she was given a lifetime membership in that organization. The local chapter of the honor society is called The Jessie Whalen Chapter of the National Honor Society. As we continue on our way, we will think of her often and of her infinite wisdom in matters so important to our future suc- cess. 5 In an average day, we find Miss Whalen at her files many times.
