Daydreams are those fragile things, That take away our cares, And give the poorest beggar The wealth of millionaires. So often we are prone to sit and dream about that which is already past or those things we hope that the future holds for each of us. Life is more than one daydream after another. Rather each man's life with its individual complexities, must serve as a pattern and inspiration for another man’s thoughts and drives. Another year has passed and we now move closer to our life goals. To truly succeed one must do more than dream. True happiness and success has a more substantial foundation than daydreams. To truly succeed and be of service to humanity, a person must develop a determination geared to the times but anchored to good habits and sound practices. This yearbook is a symbol of that type of work and dedication. Congratu- lations to the sponsor, editors, and staff for a job well done. May this 1967-68 PLATTONIAN serve as a fitting climax to this year. 8

An ancient Teacher, whom many called Master, offers this great challenge to modern youth: To understand ourselves fully, to accept our- selves more wisely, to share ourselves more graciously, to devote our- selves more intelligently. Your future will be filled with responsibilities, opportunities, and chal- lenges. I hope you meet each one with a sincere desire to succeed. Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 1968.
