The End And The Beginning With the beginning of the school term came anxiety and excitement among the seniors of M67 , for this was their last year at P. H. S. Four years of hard practice and determination paid off well at Homecoming as the Devils defeated Auburn with a score of 20-14. Kickoff To Autumn was the theme which highlighted the dance. Dan Bishop and Linda Ford reigned as King and Queen of the Homecoming Dance. In a few short weeks preceding the holiday season, the Annual Staff sponsored the Yuletide Dance. King John Aschenbrenner and Queen Elaine Sharp were selected as this year's royalty for the Snow Ball . As spring approached, we found the seniors busy at work preparing The Glass Menagerie which was presented April 28 and 29. With only a few weeks of school left, the juniors were hard at work with plans for our 1967 Junior-Senior Prom which was held May 6. Terry Glup and Nancy Hopkins were crowned King and Queen to reign in Fantasia of the Deep . On May 8 the senior government students journeyed to Lincoln where they toured the State Legislature at the Capitol and also the Nebraska State Penal Complex. It was with mixed emotions that the seniors attired themselves in the traditional blue and white caps and gowns for the Baccalaureate service which was May 21. On the evening of May 26, one hundred and eleven graduates lined the hill in front of P.H. S. to begin the pro- cession to the athletic field where awaited the hoped-for goal of each—their diplomas. With a final walk up high school hill, we realized that our days at P.H.S. had come to a close. Each of us carry the memories of the past four years and our many treasured friends with us on into the future. Again we are reminded of our class motto: Believe in three faiths--Faith in God, yourself, and others. 18
