Freshmen At Work 35 36 Librarians All of the books in the high school library are in the process of being re-cataloged, cleaned up, mended, and numbered by Mrs. Faith Friest, the librarian, and a staff of fifteen student- librarians. Each one of the fifteen assistants work one hour a day in the library and help to plan and put up a new bulletin board each month in keeping with the seasons or current events. About eighty-five new books were added to the library this year. Seventy dollars worth of books were given to the library from the Barbara Alkire memorial fund. These books were chosen by a committee of teachers. They include works in the fields of literature, dramatics, history, biography, and a large reference Bible. Money collected for fines has been donated to the members of the Freshman English classes who were studying Shakespeare for materials to make a model of the Globe Theatre.
