High Pep Club, sponsored by Mrs. Trayler and Mr. Foster. To show how enthusiastic and interested the girls were, a total of 40 girls joined. The officers for this new organization were: Pres.-Vanessa Bennett, V. Pres.-Patty Enderle, Sec.-Cindy Nichols, and Treas.-Tracy Freeman. The Jr,.lHigh Cheerleaders for 1974-75 were CMIDDLE PICTUREJ: Chala Pierson, Laurie George, Jaci King, Nancy Stevens, Kim Sloan, Susan Tapp, and Christi Cox. In football all the guys got in quite a lot of practice for this season and for future football in high school. Basketball was also a sport that many guys were in- terested in and they learned how to be good, dependable athletes. Track was new for just about everybody in Jr. High. Even though it was new, there were many who were interested. An award was given to the athlete who guessed the correct score of a given basketball game. One change took place in the English Departmentg they added a speech and drama class. Mrs. Trayler, instructor, worked with each class to put on stage and radio plays, as well as regularly assigned speeches. Mrs. Bodle also taught home economics to the girls. They enjoyed preparing and tasting their own meals. Also added to the Jr. High class schedule were new Mini Courses. These courses were taught by people who had experience in each field. The courses included swimming, macrame, pottery, tennis, golf, photography, flying, scuba diving, horsemanship, knitting, sewing, and many others.
