“Friends I’ll Remember” The theme of the 1976-77 yearbook is Friends I’ll Remember.” Our basic goal in using this theme is to help catch the spirit of friendship, and to bring everyone closer together. Friendship is a state of being friendly, warm, and kind towards one another. It is also the getting together of a group of people in support of a common cause. This state is apparent throughout the halls of Platteview. It is shown by the students getting together and striving to make our scool a better place to live, learn and have fun. By participating in different activities, such as athletics, music, or other organizations, brings people closer together, thus forming many various friendships. It is through these friendships that we larn a lot about life and living and making our own lives more meaningful. Special memories also result from these friendships.
