ijutai Zag, Klasse S. Startzer, J. Htbberd, S. Schneider and R. Wilson seem to find class very interesting. Mrs. Fiedler displayed her many talents while teaching Sophomore English and Ger- man I II. During the year Mrs. Fiedler held a series of films- the purpose of giving insight into the technology of film-making and fostering an appreciation for the non-verbal aspects of com- munication. This was a high note in new activities this year at Platteview. As a swing off, sev- eral students produced their own film, using animation and live actors. Sophomores: M. Keyes, L. Buchanan, L. Smith, J. Iske and D. Mrs. Fiedler instructs English and German. Pelzer make it look like English is easy. 24

The students are not speak- ing a foreign language but learning a new jargon while investigating common proper- ties to others. W. Smith and D. Glesmann demonstrate the day’s lesson on the board.
