CLASS PRQPHECY The class of 1959 of Plato Price High School is united once more for a class re- union. Year: 1969 Time: 8:00 P. M. - Place: Oven's Auditorium, Charlotte, North Carolina We, the class of 1959 of Plato Price High School have met here to discuss our suc- cesses, misfortunes, and to renew our friendships. On the front row we find Mr. Lonnie Stowe, the famous stock Car driver who has just won the Indianapolis 500 stock car race. Seated beside Mr. Stowe we find Mr. Eddie Caldwell, a famous lawyer whose records show two wins out of three cases. A little further down we see Barbara Brown, awell known social worker at Ohio State Uni- versity. Seated in the rear we find quite a few nurses, Misses Bessie Waddell, Mary Waddell, 'Bernice Nance, Meazetta Campbell, Lena Cathcart, and Frances Lowery, who are nowlworking at the Cancer Research Laboratory in Washington, D. C. We find Lieutenant George Williams, who has been in the Marines for nine years, seated beside our beautiful nurses. Closer to the front is Mr. Franklin Cooper who works with Mr. Bobby Gabriel as a team at their own Barber Shop located on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angele5,74,California. It is known as Cooper St Gabriel's Barber Shop. Now on the front row at, ,L , t hefar end, you see Mr. John McClelland, aphotographer, who has photographed the grelatwsinger, Mr. Robert Stinson. Mr. Stinson has just finished making his debut with th'e5Met'ropolitan Opera. Seated on the platform to my right, we have Mr. William Bufordyinr his chef's hat. Mr. Buford has just finished making a new recipe called Moon-Sh.ineifCupcakes. Now we see Mr. Vernon King, Physical Education teacher at the Y. A. of San Diego, California, who would like to be as famous as Mr. Robert Coleman,3jwjho,'t. gives exercises to Mr. Roy Rogers, the First Negro President of the United statefsg. pivy I nthe science field, we find Mr. Grady Jamison, an. Electrical Engineer who has intiented .a Future + Vision machine 1 a machine which perdicts the future J. Still lookiiigioverttheihouse, I see Mr. James Beatty whose ambition, was to be a print- er. He nowiewns and edits his town newspaper, The Beatty Gazetta. Beside Mr. Beatty, I2jfseeiMiss'Madge Reid, a cosmetologist who ownsiher own place of business. Her husband, anfauto, mechanic, is Mr., John Givens who is seated. beside her. Behind Mr. Sz Mrsg,,Johnt1Givens,,we have a few lovely cosmetologists, they are Misses Pris- cilla Beatty, Barbara. Miller, and Betty Stafford. They, are working in Hollywood styling hairof famous actresses. Beside these lovely cosmetologists we have another lovely lady by the name of' Miss Betty Torrence, a medical secretary to a well known doctor in New York City. fNow'I see Mr. Ulysses Phifer, who is the business manager of Miss Elizabeth Taylor, a famous Hollywood actress. Two rows behind Mr. Phifer, we have withlus Mr. John Taylor, an Industrial Arts Teacher at Plato Price High School. To Mrg Taylo-r's right is' Miss Frances Foust, an instructor in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. V Sitting with Miss Foust, I see Mr. Robert Watson of Hollywood, a clothes spotter. I-Ieltakes many spots from clothes of many famous actors and actress- ess. As I look over-the auditorium again, I see Miss Delores Dye, a sociologist who now teaches sociologytatgeentral High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Near the middle isle we find Miss HarrietMcLaughlin, fromthe University of Michigan. Farther back we see Mr. Zachariah Springs, a radio operator who now works at Radio Station WNOC in Seattle, Washington. ANear the back are cosmetologists, Missess Doris Grier, Sarah McCullough, and Bertha Phillips. They work in the Helene Curtis Beauty Salons throughout the nation. Last but not least We have Miss Shirley Cunningham, the head nurseat Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. As we come to the close of this reunion and go our separate ways, we wish one another continued success in our professions and businesses. We shall meet in our second reunion Jtuie, 1979.
