Thomas, put on performances for the J.V. football and basketball games and the Varsity Homecoming parade and game. By marching during the year, they gained valuable experience for next year, when they are eligible for Varsity. The routines they performed were the result of many hours of thinking and prac- ticing. A. ln formation, the J.V. Drill Team salutes the Colonels. B. The J.V. drill team marches in the Homecoming parade. C. J.V. Colonelettes drum during the Homecoming parade.

Concert Band members hold concerts starting in January and lasting throughout June. This group of band students perform in District and State competitions and individual members also compete in solo and ensemble contests. They have had many trips participating in State Con- tests and last year they had an exchange program with Key West High School. This year they plan to take a trip to show their talent elsewhere. Possibilities are Atlanta or St. Augustine. lVlrs. Edwards is director. A. Concert Band members add skill and wonder as they hold one of their many concerts. B. Sections of brass help to add full sound in the concerts. C. Different sounds are created by the section of flutes.
