or everything Including goodies, date ta dance Once again, Twirp Week was held at PHS. This annual affair, sponsored by Juniorettes Service Club, is the one time the dating roles for boys and girls switch. Instead of the boys asking the girls out and paying for the date, the girls ask the boys and also pay. A week-long schedule of activities was held, highlighted by the Twirp Dance, held at the end of the week. On Tuesday, February 9, 1971 the girls bought jugs for their guys, with a hands off sign attached. The next day was designated as vegetable corsage day. On Thursday, the girls purchased helium balloons for their dates. Friday was the day for bringing a hat and a stuffed animal. The week was ended with a dance held on February 13, 1971 in the cafeteria with music by The Krystal Ship . A. Senior Roger Jeffery wears the hat his twirper, Cathy Edwards, gave him. B.
