A. Senior, Junior girls tie 7 7 ln 71 Powder Puff Game After weeks of hard practice, the senior and junior girls met each other in lnteract's annual Powder Puff Game. The girls battled against each other resulting in a 7-7 tie. The senior coaches were Bob VanKirk, Tom Zipperly, Scottie NlcDaniel, Craig Smith, Bob Johnson, Charlie Gilbertson, John Coan, Randy Kidd, and Bill Stevens, all members of Interact. Junior coaches were Brad Ridgewell, Glenn Calloway, Danny Nliller, John Gallagher, Tom Faverty, Otis Allen, Steve Berrard, Nlike Evans, Steve Leach, and Head Coaches Phil Eason and Gary White. Halftime activities were highlighted by perfor- mances by lnteract girls and the crowning of the Powder Puff King, Charlie Gilbertson, His court con- sisted of seniors Scotty lVlcDaniel, Tom Zipperly, and Bill Stevens, and juniors Tom Faverty and John Gal- laghar. I semi-formal dance featuring ln the Beginning' This year's Homecoming Dance resulted a big suc- cess. Students from all classes, freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior, came and made the dance fully worthwhile. When not dancing to the music provided by the band In the Beginning , they were relaxing at tables that had been set up, or quenching their thirst with the punch that was being served.
