G The Women's Liberation Movement was never felt more than in the Technical Science department. You've come along way Baby! could be heard clearly through the humming noise of the power saws and pounding of the hammers. Eight to ten girls were enrolled in either Shop or Graphics and sixteen in the printing area. New technical equipment made possible such courses as Graphic Arts 3, Electronics 3, Material Fabrication and Drafting 3, which consisted of ad- vanced architectural and engineering drawing. The size of the department increased by fifteen as a result of the growing student body and genuine interest in the technical sciences. A. Mr. Morgan helps student complete project. B. Drafting students discuss a blue print. C. Mr. Popper helps students set type from California job case. D. Mr. Anthony helps to show technigue of plotting. E. Imagination, productivity effectively displayed by creative When the aroma of freshly baked cookies per- meates the 700 corridor, don't be surprised. The Home Economics Department is cooking up some- thing tempting in their kitchens. The six kitchens turn out quite an assortment of food: anything from vegetables to angel food cakes. The sewing room next door is also bustling with activity. The machines can be heard buzzing, insuring a good out-put of hand- manufactured items.
