It is 7:15 and the counselors are anxiously l?l awaiting the daily onslaught of students. Mrs. Bias is stationed at her typewriter and the counselors are in their offices. Suddenly, a thin freckle-faced boy rushes in and stands, panting, in front of Mrs. Bias' desk. Mrs. Bias: lpleasant smilel Yes? Student: l'm in the wrong school ! Mrs. Bias: Well, you'd better see Mrs. Cooper about that. Miss LaForest appears, carrying an armful of college catalogues, collides with Mr. Grosse as he enters the guidance office. Mr. Grosse: Oh, excuse me, uh, Miss LaForest? ls that you? Miss LaForest: lmuffledl Yes. It's that time of year you know-SAT's, college applications. .. And with almost 700 se- niors this year Mrs. Freeman and I are awfully busy. lShe exitsl Enter-burly junior - looks like a Suma wrestler. Junior: ls Mrs.Findley or Mr. Gardner here? Mrs. Bias: WeIl, you might try the office across the halI. Junior: Uh, Mr. Gardner? Mr. Gardner: Yes? Can I help you - sir? - son? Junior: l need a schedule change. I got Home Ec. instead of Shop. Mr. Gardner: The miracles of computerized scheduling! We'll see what we can do. l'll put in a change for you but in the meantime I suggest that you sew diIigently. ' -',ffffQggQ K . Mrs. Radford: We have a new student coming from, believe it o not, lceland. Mrs. Kish: Our major problem, of course, will be the fact tha she doesn't speak English. Mrs. Pratt: Does anyone happen to know someone who speaks fluent lcelandic? The telephone breaks the anxious silence. Mrs. Trickel: Yes? Oh really?
