A definite plan lurks beneath every organized activity. Learning processes fashion themselves in intricate designs, then swirl and blend in a warm contented undercurrent. ln the past, the designs were less complicated: simple, basic designs of learning prevailed. But as progress spread and multiplied, new, more complex ideas added to and im- proved the simple ideas. The thirst for knowledge has ex- panded. Education is mandatory in to- day's competitive world. The Education of yesterday, although it is sinking further and further into the background, is an important foundation for today's education.
