Sixty glowing models, all members of F.l-LA., glided down runways in a fashion show sponsored by Jordan Marsh and its Teen Board. The club was represented in the Colonel's Club fair with a Paint Swirl. Letters to Santa from the tiny tot crowd, were answered by the girls at Christmas time. Senior, Laura Wise was elected president of the club for the 1970-1971 year. Mrs. Karen Johnson and Mrs. Diane Foggin preserved law and order among the future homemakers as sponsors. FTA, a national organization polled fifty five in its drive for a large membership. Their main objective was to provide needed assistance to those teachers wanting it. Second place in the Lauderhill Mall Halloween Window Painting Contest illustrated this fact. They held art exhibits, several local shows and also plan to build a sculpture in the patio area. President Steve Grossman led the group's activities. The goal of the Art Club was to provide a scholarship fund to a worthy senior enrolled in art.
