The team started the season with both the confidence of winning the district and then going on to the state championship. They played a tough schedule this year against teams as Hollywood Hills and Ft. Lauderdale, who were ranked as two of the best in Broward County. The team was compiled of 24 players and four batgirls which has become a tradi- tion at Plantation. A. They were coached by Mr. Napp who played baseball at the University of Miami. The boys practiced as often as possible for preparation against teams from all over the area including Hollywood Hills, South Broward, Nova, McArthur, Pompano, Northeast, Ft. Lauder- dale, and Stranahan.
