Golf at PHS has long been and remains one ofthe strongest sports offered. Beginning with 15 consecutive wins, Plantation's team had another remarkable season. High school teams compete from Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties against the Colonels as few even challenge the ability of the Colonel golf team. The team was led by seniors, Rick Hmielewski, Jim Minnet, Rick Chase and juniors: Jim Hupp, Bob Delsanter, and Dave Court. G olii active sport at Plantation, grows in popularity A. Each year the team compiles a rough schedule of approximately 24 matches against teams from all over South Florida, and manages to lose less than 4 matches a season. Golf is rapidly growing into one of the largest sports offered at Plantation. Coming years are expected to maintain a fine golf team and to keep the Colonel name high in the ranks as a golf school.
