,uf E 127 The student body, coaching staff and all involved in the basketball program at PHS eye a great future after this past season. The varsity basketball team had a year of learning, of pride and of agony as they went through a long tough season. The varsity squad learned by errors, gained pride through important victories and suffered the agony of defeat in games of crucial importance. With a young varsity team this year, the Colonels became experienced and confident. Varsity head Coach Jim Savage has said he has room for all kinds of improvement, so as for next year. . .? A. The 1971 Varsity basketball team includes the following. l. to r. Bruce Cavell, Lenezro Lee, Charles Burrows, Leroy Fluttland, Ed Ellison, Chuck Sherwood, Bill Coan, Mathew Harrison, Andy Cox, Rubin Bell, Tommy Gadson. B. Coan unassisted for two points. C.
