Students Get Together during Homecoming actlvltles Long hours of building a float, Mon- day night meetings, planning the prom, pretzels from the 400's, The Colonels Journal, the Horse, the funky chicken . . .they used to groove on the Big Apple. Hoarse throats, excitement after a touchdown, homecoming parade, Senior Work Day, homecoming cor- sages . . . traditions stemming from way back. Three points for a record field goal, extra curricular parties, the crowning of the queen . . . pulling taffy, sock hops, chaperoned dates, Saturday matinee movies, and swinging on the porch were the big things back then.
