Staff of Colonels'Journal gains experience ln newspaper lnterviews, typewriters, cameras, rulers, and light tables. .. all phases of newspaper work are evidenced in publishing the Colonels' Journal. Journalism students at Plantation not only write their articles but they also prepare their own headlines and ads, lay out the dummies and paste up the page. Then the graphics department pre- pares the halftones and prints the final product by offset process. The monthly publication was sold by subscrip- tion for the first time this year, since student fees were abolished. Special feature issues distributed for Christmas, Twirp Week, April Fool's Day and seniors. The staff, composed of juniors and seniors, was led by Cathy Edwards, managing editor, and Jo- Ann McCloskey and Linda Neiderheiser, co- editors. Third-year members included Jody Kutch- ins, student adviser, Penny LaGasse, advertising manager, and Wendy lVlann, business manager. lVlrs. Charlene Martin served as faculty adviser. C 106
