Thomas, put on performances for the J.V. football and basketball games and the Varsity Homecoming parade and game. By marching during the year, they gained valuable experience for next year, when they are eligible for Varsity. The routines they performed were the result of many hours of thinking and prac- ticing. splrlt vltallty to Plantation High s football season This year, the Varsity Drill Team Colonelettes have grown bigger in size and popularity. During football and basketball seasons, Drill Team members cheered at all games to make them become the back- bone of the cheering section. The girls traveled to Gainesville to march in the University of FIorida's Homecoming Parade. They stayed at Gainesville's Holiday lnn and performed the following morning. This is the third time the Varsity Drill Team has participated in the parade. A. Drill Team members, Beth Smoker and Cathy Greene, show their emotion at the Edison Game. B. Colonelettes, Mary Lewis, Janet Lawson, and Drill Team mascot, Debbie Maitre, take front row seats for perfect view of game. C. Varsity Colonelettes help to promote cheering throughout the stands. E. Chaperones aid during their trip to Gainesville, Florida.
