U Teresa Lott Dee Newsome Treasurer Historian The Student Senate of PCHS played an integral part in the way our school was run. Student Senate members supervise all elections and count votes. They plan Homecoming and buy the crown, tro- phies, and roses for the court. The Homecoming sign contest was sponsored by the Student Senate. They oversee all clubs and organizations and work closely with the lnter'Club Council in regard to bud- gets, fund raisers, and club projects. Student Senate also sponsored the Deck the Halls Contest and deco- rated the Christmas Tree in the mall. At Festival time the Student Senate members built a booth to repre- sent the school. Our Student Senate belongs to the District lV Stu- dent Council Workshop Assocation and regularly attends workshops to exchange ideas with other schools and learn leadership techniques. 56 Student S at hm.. Excelling in academics and nominated by their teachers, many students were thrilled with just a nomi- nation. Only 30 students could be chosen as the 1982 Senior Superlatives. These 30 students were chosen by their peers from the list of teacher nominations. Every student elected has been actively involved in several different clubs and organizations and has contributed much to his school and fellow classmates.
