L...--L-. fi fy HCIMANITIES A 'CHANCE FOR CREATIVITY I feel that the study of the humanities will provide great opportunity for our students to learn an apprecia- tion for beauty and to enrich their daily life through an understanding of the roll that the humanities has played in the cultures of the world, commented Gayle H. Law, department head. The Humanities department teaches students to en- joy life and gain respect and confidence in the powers of their own minds. Humanities imparts a sense of tolerance, appreciation and understanding of different ideas. Humanities is made up ofa variety of classes, includ- ing art, band, foreign language and chorus. HOME EC THE SURVIVAL OF THE CONSUMER Home Economics is more than just cooking and sewing . lt prepares boys and girls for multi-facited roles as homemakers, consumers, parents, employers and employees. Courses are provided which improve consumerism through an understanding of budgeting techniques, current market materials and their performance.
