1 . l I... Ill 1. Q g.-.-C - D Af!-ti-.. - Principals of the cast pose during a rehearsal. SEATED, LEFT TO RIGHT: Patty Davis, Lourey, Pat Lanier, Aunt Eller, Sylvia Jarvis, pianist, Tal Thompson, Jud, Edward Hill, Ike, Larry Ritchie. STAND- ING: Mr. Beam, Director, Bill Sloan, Tommy Taylor, Curly, Larry Wray, Slim, Lamar Futch. Carnes, Charles Spivey, Will, Mary Kay Layton, Ado Annie, Milo Shearin, Ali Hakim, Lynda Eady, Genie, Joyce Cope, Leroy Kay. Malmma. The climax to spring dramatic activity at PCHS was the all-out school participation in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! Under the direction of Mr. Herbert Beam, this ambitious pro- duction drew upon the resources of the music, art, industrial arts, physical education, social studies, and English faculties. Mr. Bruner's special orchestra provided the accompaniment, Mrs. Jayne and her art students worked weeks on the huge panor- amic painting forming the stage background, Mr. Cooper's shop facilities became a factory for set construction, Mrs. Burt, Mrs. Gibbs, and Miss Potter prepared and directed all of the dances, Mr. Adicks added his bit as assistant director. Most of the cast of over three-score came from the Mixed Chorus. The Kunyuksaw regrets that its early mailing deadline prohibits giving the cover- E age it deserves to Oklahoma! truly one of the high points of the year for a great many people.
