Some of their proiects during the school vear were paying half the price of a court apron which is to be placed in front of the gym and parking cars at the football games as well as at the Strawberry Festival. Also enioyed by all of P.C.H.S. were the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance and the Confederate Ball. The Letterman's Club, composed of varsity letter- men of all sports, was elevated from the rank of the inactive clubs this year. The club, under the direction of Mr. Morrison, purchased a popcorn machine and sold popcorn at the basketball games. The pro- ceeds trom popcorn sales are to be used toward procuring some therapeutic equipment for the physi- cal education department. Below is a snap of the first group of boys receiving iockets under the new policy requiring boys to letter in three sports before receiving a jacket. The climax to spring dramatic activity at PCHS was the all-out school participation in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! Under the direction of Mr. Herbert Beam, this ambitious pro- duction drew upon the resources of the music, art, industrial arts, physical education, social studies, and English faculties. Mr. Bruner's special orchestra provided the accompaniment, Mrs. Jayne and her art students worked weeks on the huge panor- amic painting forming the stage background, Mr. Cooper's shop facilities became a factory for set construction, Mrs. Burt, Mrs. Gibbs, and Miss Potter prepared and directed all of the dances, Mr. Adicks added his bit as assistant director. Most of the cast of over three-score came from the Mixed Chorus. The Kunyuksaw regrets that its early mailing deadline prohibits giving the cover- E age it deserves to Oklahoma! truly one of the high points of the year for a great many people. x M.- pm. .
