The second game of the season was against St. Augus- tine and was won with comparative ease, the final score being 25-O. The next week the Planters traveled to Clearwater and con- tinued their winning streak by roll- ing over the Tornadoes 39-0. The fourth game ofthe season was played at Sarasota. At this game. the Planters just couldnit seem to click. and they were handed their first defeat of the season, 20-I9. The fifth game was with a scrappy YYinter Haven eleven which proved to be no match for the Planters. who won by a score of 26-0. The next game was with Plant High. a team from the Iiig Ten Conference. This was a close game but the Planters managed to win I3-7. On Noyember 21st thc Planters trampled Jesuit by the tremendous score of 40-0. Plant City 32 Plant City 25 Plant City 39 Sarasota 20 . KIanatee's Hurricanes proved to be one of the best teams the Planters played all season. It was a hard fought battle in which Plant City squeezed out on top. I 15-7. In the last regular game of the season the Planters barely managed to squeeze out Tarpon Springs. I4-13. This win put them in line for the championship game with Sarasota. December 7th, 1951. found the Planters a little nervous but de- termined to beat the only team which had beaten them earlier in the season. At the end of the Hrst half the Planters were behind 7-6, but that only made them more determined to win and when they returned in the second half they literally ra nthe Sailors off the field. YYhen the game ended the score was Plant City 32-Sarasota 7. For the 2nd consecutive year the Planters were again F. Cf. Champions,
